AT&T Advertising Sucks Complaint
AT&T Customer Complaint

Comments: I know this has nothing to do with purchasing advertising, but, it certainly does relate to AT&T's deceptive advertising practices. AT&T has twice swindled me. They actively solicited and persuaded me to change my calling plan, promising me each time I would save money. However, the exact opposite happened. The first time, my monthly bill increased about $30. I let a couple of months go by, as they gave me a lot of "pro-rating" gibberish to make me believe the increase was only temporary. However, I soon learned it was not. I called them back and insisted on going back onto the exact same plan I had before, and of course, the bill dropped back about $30. Well, needless to say, I was dumb enough to be tricked later a second time, this time by a sales person pushing the "Phone Solution" package who SWORE she was not tricking me, that I DEFINITELY would save money, etc., etc. This was after having received several marketing mailings from AT&T with the same line. Then I got a bill that was almost $60 more than my previous bills!!! All I want is my old plan back, which they say is no longer offered. Now I have to get on the phone AGAIN with them, and waste time again, just to try to get back to something at least close to what I had. In the meantime, they've pocketed quite a few of my dollars. It makes you wonder if they expected this chain of events, but it just makes them a quick buck, and you have no choice because they are the only provider of local phone service. I am so distraught I am thinking of pursuing a class action. They really deserve it. Regards, Amy Lamborn
